The 2008 Presidential Election is supposed to take place on November 4, 2008. All the canidates are going to be running for either president or vice president of the United States of America. There are two ploitical parties democratics and republicans, here are the canidates.

National Conventions are held to show both the Republican and Democratic Parties at their best and they determine the official party candidates to the public. Speaking of the public, they are exposed to the different candidates and what they have to offer when the candidates all speak on live TV and announce that they are going to run or what they are going to do for our country.
Every four years we get to re-elect the president. This is the usual mechanism by which modern democracy fills offices in the legislature, sometimes in the executive and judicairy, and for regonal and local government. This is also typically the case in a wide range of other private and busness organizations, from clubs to volenatry accosiations and corperatrions. The election process works by having the public vote for the candidate. Then all the votes are added according to each state and then they are looked at overall. There is an announcement regarding who was elected president. We vote every four years because after a person has been the president for four years, you have to either elect someone else or re-elect the current president. If someone has been the president for eight straight years, then you have to vote for a new president because that person can only serve in office for a total of eight years.
This year the system is broken, so the bestr person may not get the job just like “American Idol” or “Survivor” the best canidate will not always be the best president.
A Caucus is a party meeting at the precinct level at which citizens express their candidate preferences and pick delegates to their county conventions. They are held to nominate presedentail canidates. Besides election technequies there are ways that the public can find out about the elctions. those ways are email, tv, media, speeches, and talk shows.

If i was old enough to vote i would vote for Rudy Giuliani. i think that one of the major reasons that i would vote for him is because of his thoughts dealing with immigration by the Mexican border. Also I belive that there needs to be done about the abbortion issue in the United States to many people have abbortions every year. Good luck to all the canidates, may the best one win!
