This election, probably the most important, has many good canidates. In the Democrats - Hilary Clinton, Barack Obama, John Edwars, Dennis Kucinich, Bill Richardson, and Mike Gravel. In the Republicans - John Mccain, Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson, Ron Paul, Rudy Giuliani, Ducan Hunter. Hilary Clinton's major inishiative is to streghten the middle class, Barack Obama's is to re-instore civil librities, John Edwards wants to stand up for middle class families, Dennis Kucinich's inishiative is to streghthen the nation through peace, Bill Richardson wants to find a way out of Iraq, and in the republicans, John Mccain wants to increase national security, Mitt Romney wants to make affordable health care along with lower taxes, Rudy Guliani wants to decrease the Washington spending, and finnally, Fred Thompson wants to lower taxes.

Recently there have alot of talk about caucuses which is most generally defined as a meeting of supporters or members of a political party or movement. The caucuses are held to build support for the candidate before the party's primaries.

National conventions are always all over the news for a month or two before they are held. They are a series of presidential nominating conventions held every four years by both the Republican and Democrats to field nominees in the upcoming presidential elections.

We try to re-elect s president every four years although the current president is sometimes re-elected for another four years, however after his second four years he cannot be re-elected.

Most people are exposed to canidates through the media, such as the news, and the internet. The current canidates have even realized this and have created myspace pages and youtube videos to have people exposed to the canidates.

I do not believe that the elections has become like a reality TV show. The election is very important and I believe that the candidates are truely trying to tell the American people what they will do in office. Unfortunatlly I think that the media, more and more, has portrayed the elections like a reality TV show. This keeps people interested and raises the news stations' ratings. I hope that before the president is elected, the media will change the election from a reality show to something that matters.

Besides the republicans (including the current presidents) I believe that the current candidates are genuine and sincere. It costs millions to run a campaign. Unfortunatlly I feel that this money is needed to show the American people what they believe in. This money comes from the goverment. However they should take out some of this money to try to eliminate the unnecciary electoral college. I do believe that alot of these canidates are being pressured to believe in what the people want but a few believe in what they believe and don't care what people are pressuring them to do. These are the kind of canidates that we need.

If I could vote in the democratic primary, I would vote for Dennis Kucinich. This is because he believes in everything that is right, even if it is not generally excepted by the general public. He is pro-climate change, anti-military, pro-universal healthcare, and anti-iraq, everything that I believe in.
